Our Journey Over the Years

Founded by dedicated volunteers, Lions District 22W has evolved into a driving force for community service, enhancing the quality of life for residents in Western Maryland since its inception.

1947

In 1947, Lions District 22W was established, uniting local Lions clubs to increase the collective impact on community service initiatives.

1975

By 1975, the district expanded its focus on youth programs, launching initiatives aimed at developing leadership skills among local students.

1995

In 1995, Lions District 22W implemented its first vision screening program, significantly increasing early detection of vision issues in children.

2022

In 2022, the district celebrated its 75th anniversary, recognizing the achievements and contributions of its members in enhancing community welfare.
